Danielle Green, LICSW

Danielle is a Managing Director of NECCF.  She received her MSW from Columbia University in 1993 and completed 5 years of further specialist training in couples and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, in New York City. She worked and taught at Cornell Medical Center for 10 years before relocating to Boston to serve as Clinical and Training Director of the Couple and Family Therapy Program, at the Cambridge Health Alliance, Harvard Medical School. There, she trained psychologists, psychiatry residents and social workers and lectured extensively throughout the Harvard system. Danielle is a certified EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) therapist and supervisor. Her areas of specialty are GBLTQ relationships, parent/child dyads and relational crises such as affairs.  Danielle helps couples develop skills to restore trust, communicate and express feelings effectively, understand and resolve differences, and enhance intimacy. It is Danielle’s passion to help couples repair their connections and create secure and lasting bonds with those who matter the most. Danielle also offers supervision to advanced practitioners. Suzanne McCarthy, PsyD

Dr. McCarthy is a Managing Director of NECCF. Suzanne is a licensed psychologist whose experience includes a focus on family and couples therapy as well as working with individuals and families coping with the challenge of chronic and terminal illness, IVF treatment and trauma. In addition to certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, she has advanced training in eye movement desensitization reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and often utilizes a combination of mind/body techniques such as hypnosis, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) (Level 1 and Couples) to complement her therapeutic approach to anxiety, mood disorders and symptoms that often find their basis in trauma. Dr. McCarthy is a faculty member in the Psychiatry Department at Harvard Medical School and has offered groups and workshops on topics of holistic behavioral medicine such as Reiki I, the practice of meditation and spirituality and couples groups. She holds a doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialty in health psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and is also a Reiki Master/Teacher. Suzanne Marcus, LMFT

Suzanne Marcus is a Managing Director of NECCF, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and has been in private practice since 1998.  She has earned two Master's Degrees, one from Brandeis and one from Harvard University.   Her clinical training and experience is primarily with families and couples, working with many issues, including long term relationships, family dyads, affairs, and parenting. Suzanne also works with individual adults.  She has worked in school settings, in a residential/home based treatment center for children and their families, and at an Employee Assistance Program.  She is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and is currently in full time private practice at NECCF.  Besides using this EFT focus, Suzanne is oriented towards gaining wellness through mindfulness and mind-body awareness and integration.  If you would like to contact Suzanne directly, please call 781 643 4336.

Cindy Kaplan, Master Level Family Therapist

Cindy Kaplan is a Masters level Family Therapist who completed her post-graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. After the birth of her second child, who suffered a brain injury at birth, she immersed herself in yoga and became a certified practitioner of Yoga for the Special Child. Her passion for working with families and parents ultimately led her to becoming a PCI Certified Parent Coach. Cindy is passionate about helping parents become confident in their parenting and learning how best to parent the children they have, while supporting the growth of both parent and child. She has been working with families, parents, and children in a variety of settings since 1995. Her study of yoga infuses her family work in ways that help parents be less reactive and more responsive. She brings humor, keen listening skills, and many resources to the families with whom she works.

Allison Flynn, PsyD

Dr. Flynn is a licensed Clinical Psychologist at New England Center for Couples and Families. She received her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining NECCF, she was a staff psychologist at the Judge Baker Center since 2012, where she completed her post doctoral training.  She is trained and working towards certification in parent-child interaction therapy and has facilitated parent support groups and supervised interns with a focus on parent guidance and family therapy. Dr. Flynn has a specialized interest and experience in working with couples and families struggling with issues of effective communication, connection, parent/child dyads, and specific challenges related to those couples with a child with special needs. Dr. Flynn is working towards her certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Roza Khorshidi, LMFT

Roza is originally from Iran, where she received a Master’s degree in Education in 2000. In Tehran, she established her own counseling and research center, “Behpooyan”, where she and her team of psychologists offered workshops and trainings, as well as individual, couple, and family counseling. Her program was nationally recognized for excellence.  After moving to the USA, Roza obtained a second Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Massachusetts in 2013. Starting in 2012, Roza practiced family therapy with the Home for Little Wanderers. She joined us after becoming enamored with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and dedicating herself to its study. She works from a strength-based perspective, believing all individuals, couples, and families have the resilience to overcome hardship. Roza works with people from all backgrounds and ideologies, including people of Middle Eastern descent. In addition to English, Roza speaks Farsi (also known as Persian/Iranian), Dari, and Tajik. Roza will be in-network with BCBS and is working toward her certification in EFT.
